PHOTOSHOOT IN THE DARK!

Today I did a little photoshoot with my friend, Lewis. It's been a while since I've taken photos of actual people. We did have an idea in mind but it got too dark to take proper photos, and it wasn't a serious shoot so we just took a few! Thank you to Lewis for being my model and willing to let me photograph your face, you're a good'un haha! If you want to see more of my photography, there's a link here or at the top of my blog.

IT'S BEGINNING TO LOOK A LOT LIKE CHRISTMAS!

On the weekend, my Aunty asked me if I would take some photos of her Christmas decorations so that's what I did! Our family are quite big on Christmas so I might take some more Christmasy photographs. Some of these photos are from my photography page, Chloe Arnold Photography. Feel free to check them out and give the page a like :-)

MY LIFE IN THE PAST FEW MONTHS!

Over the past few months, you might have realised that I do post very often and there is a reason for this. I've been debating whether or not I should make a blog post about what I'm going through and I have decided that I am. I've suffered from depression since I was about 11 and this year I was diagnosed with Social Anxiety Disorder, Anxiety and Agoraphobia. Over the next few weeks I'm going to put together 2 blog posts on this, telling you what I go through and how it effects me on a daily basis. My hope is raise awareness on these diagnoses and maybe even help some of you that are going through the same thing! On to a happier note, I thought I would share with you what I've been up to over the past few months.
In September, I turned the big 20. I'm no longer a teenager, sad face! For my birthday I had money for a tattoo and the things in the bottom right corner of the photo above. I had my very first tattoo in October which I will be doing a post on soon! November the 10th was has down one of the best days of my life. My cousin and I went to go see WWE Live in Cardiff which is something I have wished for for about 14 years! I got to see Big Show, Randy Orton, The Shield, Goldust and loads more wrestlers. Sadly John Cena, Daniel Bryan and CM Punk wern't there but it was still amazing and something I would love to do again! That is pretty much the past few months of my life, what have you been up to recently? Let me know in the comments!

CURRYS PC WORLD BLOGGER GIFT GUIDE!

If you didn't already know, Currys PC World are giving bloggers a chance to win a new Acer Aspire laptop! All you have to do is make a post on your technology inspired Christmas gift guide. Everything you need to know is here!

1 - The iPad I use at the moment is actually my Mams and she's always saying to me 'you spend more time on that iPad than I do and it's not even yours!'. Which is true and I would love my own, but that's not going to happen anytime soon with my bank balance haha!
2 - Not only do these look like some nice headphones, they would probably keep your ears pretty warm in this cold season! I like how these don't draw attention to the fact that you are listening to music and blocking the world out at the same time (we all do it haha). I also think my Mam would be robbing these to record her music with too!
3 - I have had the same iPod now since I was 15 and it is still going bless its cotton socks. Not only would I use this for music but I can put all the games that I play on my iPhone on to it so that I would have more memory on my phone!
4 - This would be for my Mam mostly. She loves to bake and she loves everything red (our kitchen is red too) so this would be a double wammy for her!
5 - I have been eyeing this camera up for ages! Even though I have Derrick (yes, my camera has a name), I think he would love a younger brother to join the crew.
This is what my gift guide looks like, what does yours look like? I really hope you all join in!

AVON PERFECT KISS LIPSTICK IN DEEP ORCHID

£8.50 from Avon.
I've been looking for a colour like this for so long, without having to rob a bank to buy a highend lipstick that is. This lipstick is very moisturising lipstick and I would say that it is a satin finish. As you can see from the swatch the pigmentation is great, very full coverage. On my lips, this lipstick lasted about 2 - 3 hours without re-applying. It has a subtle sweet smell in the tube, which doesn't transfer onto your lips. This lipstick comes in 23 shades on the website. I think the packaging does have quite a highend feel to it. I like that you can use the lid of the lipstick as a mirror while you apply on the go! I would definitely buy this range of lipstick again and would totally recommend to any of you!

MY TOP 5 AUTUMN/FALL LIP PRODUCTS

Autumn is definitely my favorite season. It's slap bang in the middle of Summer and Winter, which makes it not too hot but too cold either. When I was picking out which lip products I've been wearing this Autumn, I realised that I had all Winter shades and then that bright coral Summer shade which altogether would make Autumn. Well, that's my logic anyway.

2TRUE PRO BB BEAUTIFUL

£5.00 from Superdrug*
This is the first BB cream I have ever tried so I have nothing to compare it to. I haven't read much on them either but I know that there is a lot of hype about them so I thought I would let you all know how I feel about them. As you can see on the front of the bottle it says that it's an 8 in 1 formula that smoothes skin surface, evens out skintone, conceals imperfections, hydrates, brightens, mattifies, protects and gives a fresh and natural finish. I think that it does mattify my skin, hydrates, gives a fresh and natural finish. It is also very lightweight. I would say that there is near to no coverage in this BB cream. I think that this could be a good BB cream for people with oily skin because it works okay on mine. This also lasted pretty much all day on my skin with some powder to set it. It doesn't really have much of a scent but it does smell a little bit like playdough. Once I buff this into my skin, it doesn't feel like you are actually wearing anything on there, which is definitely a plus. I apply this using a Real Techniques Buffing Brush. A down side to this BB cream is that I can only see that there are 2 shades of this on the Superdrug website. The packaging is okay, you get what you pay for. I do like this for an everyday wear, when I have nothing special to do and I don't fancy wearing foundation. I think I would like to try out some more BB creams before I purchase this again!

LUSH SWEETIE PIE SHOWER JELLY

£3.25 from Lush.
Growing up I remember when my mam would buy Lush bath bombs every now and again, and smelling them and wanting to eat them. This is the exacts same feeling I get with this shower jelly. I can't make up my mind if it smells like Kola Kubes or Cherry Bakewells. It foams up lovely and leaves the smell on your skin for a while. It also has little glitter specs in it, which is a nice touch. A little goes a long way with this, so it will last you a while and it keeps nicely too! I think it would make a great gift or a treat for yourself. I would recommend this and buy it again, hands down!

RELIVING YOUR CHILDHOOD AND NEVER GROWING UP

All photos from Pintrest
This week, I have discovered that watching Disney movies has helped me a little with stress and anxiety. So that's what I have been watching to just chill out a bit. While watching it, I was thinking to myself 'should I really be watching this? I'm 20 in a few weeks!'. I've come to conclusion that it's okay to live in your own little fairy tale. Disney also teaches you a few lessons and I'm writing this post to tell you what I have learnt from the Disney films this week. I watched The Little Mermaid, Mulan, Alice in Wonderland and Peter Pan. Maybe I will do another post, make this into a little series each time I watch Disney films!
In The Little Mermaid, I learnt that nobody knows how powerful their voice is until they have been silenced. Ursula took Ariel's voice away from her and little did she know that that nearly caused her to loose Eric and her only chance at true love. Also love at first sight isn't reliable. Eric was obviously attracted to Ariel, but it was her voice and he truly fell for. When Ursula went into disguise using Ariel's voice,Eric thought it was the girl he was looking for and nearly rushed into marriage with a sea witch.
In Mulan, I learnt to follow your heart. Mulan's father was injured so couldn't go into war, so she dressed up as a boy. In her heart, she knew she could do it, even if her head told her she couldn't. She ended up being one of the first female heroes in the world. Follow your heart if you know it's going to give you true happiness! Also, anyone can be a hero. It doesn't matter who you are, what you look like, male or female, 9 or 90 years old, as long as you teach one a lesson or do something good or caring, you can be a hero.
In Peter Pan, I learnt it's okay to never want to grow up. I think older people get run down with day to day situations, and that's what freaks me out about growing up. Peter Pan teaches me to remember to keep the fun and adventure in everything, no matter how big or small the situation is.
In Alice in Wonderland, I learnt to think of 6 impossible things before breakfast. Creativity might be the key to all your problems. Also, to decide where you want to go in life. When Alice asked the Cheshire Cat which way to go, she didn't know where she wanted to go. How do you know what path to lead in life when you don't know who you want to be?
I hope you enjoyed what I've learnt from Disney this week and got some of you thinking! I think I will do another one of these posts in the near future.

BACK TO SCHOOL MAKEUP TUTORIAL/TALK THROUGH

I've been kind of stumped about what to blog about recently as I seem to be running out of ideas. After realising that it's nearly time for some teenagers to go back to school, I thought I would do a 'Back To School' makeup look on my cousin, Bella. No way am I a makeup artist, so I was a bit hesitant to call it a tutorial. I am simply writing this to give you guys a few ideas.
What I used:
Base:
Foundation - Avon Ideal Flawless Cream - to - Powder Foundation in Ivory.
Moisturiser - Nivea Oil Free Moisturising Day Cream, review here.
Powder - Rimmel Stay Matte Powder in Translucent, review here.
Blush - Fashionista blush in Butterscotch, review here.
The foundation photographed isn't the actual foundation I used. I used Avon Ideal Flawless Matte Mousse in Ivory, but I gave it to Bella before I photographed the items, sorry!

Eyes:
Eye Shadows - Sleek Oh So Special Palette, review here. BeautyUK Palette in No.4 Earth Child, review here.
Eyeliner - MUA Intense Colour Eyeliner Pencil in Rich Brown.
Mascara - Rimmel Lash Accelerator Endless Mascara, review here.

Lips:
Lipstick - MUA Lipstick in Shade 4, review here.

The first thing I did was to moisturise her skin before foundation. Never skin moisturiser, even if you have oily skin. I then applied foundation, powder and blush. On to the eyes! For the base colour, I used the gold shade (top, 2nd to last) in the BeautyUK palette all over the lid. In the crease, I used the dark matte brown (bottom, 3rd to last) and blended. For the inner corner highlight, I used the champagne shade (bottom, 2nd to last) in the BeautyUK palette. I applied the eyeliner to the upper and lower waterline and applied mascara. Finally, I put some of the lipstick onto my finger and dabbed it all over the lid because I didn't want a bold lip, just something stubble but with a bit of colour. And voila, the finish product!
Like I said, I'm not a makeup artist or am I claiming to be one. I just want to give you some ideas. Thank you to Bella for dealing with me nearly blinding her with a mascara wand haha. She has a facebook page here, where she shows off her special FX makeup talent. I'm hoping to do a photo shoot with her soon, so look out for that!

EFOXCITY

The people eFoxcity have recently got in contact with me. They sell men and women's clothing, from hoodies and t-shirts, to suits and dresses. They also do fashion jewelry.
I like this one!
One thing that did catch my eye, is that they sell wholesale dressesprom dresses and beach wedding dresses. I remember the stressful rush I had to get my prom dress. I bought one but it didn't fit and that was a week before prom. To find a cheap, but nice prom dress is hard because you know you'll probably never wear it again, so it's good that this website has all those boxes ticked. If you're not looking for an evening dress but good quality clothing at low prices, this could be the website for you!

ADVENTURE IN PHOTOS - STRATFORD UPON AVON; PART 2 (PHOTO HEAVY)

Last week I wrote about my adventure to Startford Upon Avon with my Mam part 1. Today I'm show you part 2, which was last day I was there and we went to Dudley Zoo. I must say it wasn't one of the best zoos I have ever been to, but I really love zoos so I was just happy to be there, even if it was peeing down. I think zoos are one of my happy places. There was a little fair there too for kids, which you buy tokens for and they were pretty cheap! It is all not that pricey either to get in!
Some of these photographs are from my photography page. If you would like to see more of my photography, please like my facebook page, I would really appreciate it! I hope you enjoyed seeing what I saw on my adventure!
