BACK TO SCHOOL MAKEUP TUTORIAL/TALK THROUGH

I've been kind of stumped about what to blog about recently as I seem to be running out of ideas. After realising that it's nearly time for some teenagers to go back to school, I thought I would do a 'Back To School' makeup look on my cousin, Bella. No way am I a makeup artist, so I was a bit hesitant to call it a tutorial. I am simply writing this to give you guys a few ideas.
What I used:
Base:
Foundation - Avon Ideal Flawless Cream - to - Powder Foundation in Ivory.
Moisturiser - Nivea Oil Free Moisturising Day Cream, review here.
Powder - Rimmel Stay Matte Powder in Translucent, review here.
Blush - Fashionista blush in Butterscotch, review here.
The foundation photographed isn't the actual foundation I used. I used Avon Ideal Flawless Matte Mousse in Ivory, but I gave it to Bella before I photographed the items, sorry!

Eyes:
Eye Shadows - Sleek Oh So Special Palette, review here. BeautyUK Palette in No.4 Earth Child, review here.
Eyeliner - MUA Intense Colour Eyeliner Pencil in Rich Brown.
Mascara - Rimmel Lash Accelerator Endless Mascara, review here.

Lips:
Lipstick - MUA Lipstick in Shade 4, review here.

The first thing I did was to moisturise her skin before foundation. Never skin moisturiser, even if you have oily skin. I then applied foundation, powder and blush. On to the eyes! For the base colour, I used the gold shade (top, 2nd to last) in the BeautyUK palette all over the lid. In the crease, I used the dark matte brown (bottom, 3rd to last) and blended. For the inner corner highlight, I used the champagne shade (bottom, 2nd to last) in the BeautyUK palette. I applied the eyeliner to the upper and lower waterline and applied mascara. Finally, I put some of the lipstick onto my finger and dabbed it all over the lid because I didn't want a bold lip, just something stubble but with a bit of colour. And voila, the finish product!
Like I said, I'm not a makeup artist or am I claiming to be one. I just want to give you some ideas. Thank you to Bella for dealing with me nearly blinding her with a mascara wand haha. She has a facebook page here, where she shows off her special FX makeup talent. I'm hoping to do a photo shoot with her soon, so look out for that!
