TOP 10 SPRING/SUMMER MAKE UP TRENDS 2013

1. Attention - Grabbing Eyes
I don't know about you but when I do my make up for a night out, it's all about the eyes. Whether it's a smokey eye or bold liner, the eyes are the main focus. I can see me totally loving this trend! On the catwalk, Dior had jewelled lids, Donna Karen had pink mascara, Chanel had Space Age silver, Versace, Giorgio Armani and Gucci had Metallic shadow, while Topshop Unique and Clements Ribeiro had a wash of bold colour on the lids. The choice is yours!

2. Enhanced Minimalism
For all of you that have amazing skin, this will be right up your street. Me on the other hand, I don't think I would be able to get away with minimal make up with all the redness and imperfections I have. Make sure your skin is perfectly prepped, a little subtle contour, curl your lashes and you could even add a hint of colour to your cheeks.

3. Focus On The Lower Lash Line
Originating from the Nineties, make up artists seemed to focus on the lower lash line. On the catwalk, Lanvin, Diane von Furstenberg, 3.1 Phillip Lim and Christopher Kane had dark liner smudged under the eye, Stella McCartney had a pop of green on the waterline, and Fendi used coloured fabric made into strips to use beneath the eye. I would love to use Fendi's idea on a model for a photo shoot!

4. Colour Pop
In the past few months, I have massively got into lip products. I used to stick to just stick to natural colours and nudes, but have recently been drawn to plum and berry colours. I think this Spring/Summer, I shall be trying to get into bright colours. I very much doubt however be going bright on the eye shadow. On the catwalk, Giles and Dries Van Noten went fuchsia, Altuzarra went indigo, lime and magenta on the eyes, Michael Kors and Donna Karan went with vibrant colours.

5. Sixties
I think any one can get away with Sixties make up, no matter what you look like. If you find the right look for you, rock it in the next few months. On the catwalk, Marc Jacobs used filled in brows, nude lips with doe eyes, Michael Kors used banana shaped shadow in the crease, Louis Vuitton used pastels and Moschino used huge lashes.

6. Velvet Skin
For all of you with oily skin like me, you will be happy to know that matte finished skin is back in trend! It seems that so many shows went with the matte finish. Be careful not to over powder your skin as it will look cakey and not on trend haha.

7. Focus On Pink
Pink made a mark on the catwalk. Personally, I will not be rocking the pink eyed look (or pinkeye for that matter), but I think I will dabble in the pink lip department. On the catwalk, Donna Karan used magenta on the lids and lashes, Giles and Dries Van Noten used fuchsia on the lips, Topshop Unique used bubblegum pink on lids, lips and cheeks, Bottega Veneta and Marni used rose shades on cheeks, and Chanel used shell pink on the lips.

8. Shades of Brown
Personally, I'm not very big on contouring or bronzing. I don't like to put colour on my face and try to be as pale as possible. I do, however, enjoy contouring my eyes as I have hooded lids and you can't really see my crease. On the catwalk, Alexander Wang, Roberto Cavalli and Diane von Furstenberg used shades of brown to contour eyes and cheeks, House of Holland and Sass & Bide used caramel colours on the eyes, Gucci and Versace used bronze.

9. Fluttery Lashes
I don't know about you but, I love lashes. Real or false, if you know how to make them look amazing, do it! On the catwalk, Versace, Gucci, Armarni and Moschino used full, feminine, fluttery lashes. I typically go for natural lashes as mine don't seem to do as they're told.

10. Matte Lips
I'm so happy about this trend. I only use matte lipsticks, lip stains or lip creams on my lips, so this trend is right up my street! On the catwalk, Burberry used scarlet, Missioni used bold coral and Giles used fuchsia. I will probably be rocking the red!

RIMMEL LASH ACCELERATOR ENDLESS MASCARA

£7.99 from Boots*

I've never really been a big fan of Rimmel mascaras. The Day 2 Night mascara was okay for the meantime but wasn't amazing. This may have changed my opinion of them. Sorry that I haven't got a photo of it on my lashes! The Rimmel says that 'Our first ultra lengthening mascara that defies the laws of lash length! Length that defies limits, Formula with Micro-Fibres, Instant wow: Extends lashes by up to 99% Lash-catching brush grabs every lash for perfect separation. No clumps!' I agree with most of this. It lengthens my lashes, which is what I look for in a mascara, and there is also no clumps! As for lengthening my lashes up to 99%? I think it has lengthened them a little but definitely not by 99%. The shade I have is obviously black. I really wish that they would come out with a waterproof version. If they did, this would probably be my favourite mascara. There isn't any awful scent on this mascara. I guess it's just your typical mascara smell. One tip I can give you guys about this mascara, is not to blink really hard on the brush. I did and I thought my eyeball was going to fall out. I like the bright green-ness of the packaging, it makes it so much easier to find in my makeup bag. Like I said before, I do like this mascara a lot but I would love it if it was waterproof. It tends to transfer above my eyelids and underneath my eyes which sucks. To top this from happening, I tend to use a waterproof mascara on top of it. I would totally buy it again though!

MY HOLIDAY IN PHOTOS *PHOTO HEAVY*

About a week or so ago, I went away for the weekend to Fishguard with my family. I took quite a few pictures so I thought I would put together a post to share with you guys and for me to look back on in the future! On the Friday we didn't do much. It was St. David's Day which is a Welsh holiday and so we went to a food festival which wasn't very exciting, so I didn't take any photos of that. On the Saturday, we went to Folly Farm and on the Sunday, we went to a nice place by the sea to take photos. I hope you all enjoy and that I haven't bombarded you with too many photos as there are quite a few haha!

She was happy to be there, I promise haha

Faithy my cousin's daughter, Nikki my Auntie, Bella my cousin, Anthony my uncle, Laura my cousin and my Mam.
