MY CURRENT HAIR SITUATION.. HELP?

This is currently the colour of my hair. I know I should be posting a review or something today but I'm in a bit of a crisis. It doesn't look that bad in this photo but the ends of my hair haven't taken to the dye as much. It looks blotchy at the ends and my roots are quite bright. I'm going to run you through what I did and if any of you could help me, then please comment below. I should of took pictures of the process but I didn't think it would turn out this bad haha. I applied a pre-lightener on my hair and followed the instructions that came with the box. I washed it out my hair was ginger, which is what I expected. I then put a platinum blonde on next, washed it off and I looked like Draco Malfoy on the top of my head and ginger on the tips and freaked out. I couldn't find any toner in any of the shops around where I live to tone out the giner. So I thought it couldn't be any worse than it already is and got my bottle of conditioner and La Riche Directions semi permanent dye in Plum and mixed them together. I left it on for half and hour and washed it off, dried it and it looked blotchy. The next day I put mixed more conditioner and purple together and put it on but focusing on the blotchy ends and its still blotchy. The only thing I can think that makes it blotchy is because of the fact that even though my hair was blonde before I did this experiment, there were still red bits in my hair from before that the hairdresser couldn't get out. My question is, do any of you know how I can get this red out of my hair? The bleach in the hair dye obviously didn't do much to it. The hair colour I ideally want is like a white/silver blonde so that I can have pastel purple hair instead of this bright, blotchy mess. I know this is a rambley post and I hope that it makes sense but I do need help haha. Like I said, if you have any tips or know of any products to get white/silvery hair, please let me know below! Thank you guys!

RIMMEL WAKE ME UP FOUNDATION

Currently £5.99 from Boots or Superdrug.

I have had this foundation for a while now and have only just got around to doing this review. Even though there are a lot of them floating about in the blogging/YouTube'ing world, I thought that I would give my view on it. Rimmel say that this foundation is 'light, moisturising texture applies smoothly and leaves skin feeling soft and comfortable all day, Gives an instant flawless, natural-looking finish, Visible anti-fatigue effect with peptides and a Vitamin Moisturising complex'. I think it is moisturising and does leave your skin feeling soft. It had a gel-like consistency so I wouldn't go as far as saying that it was light on your skin but it is comfortable. It has medium coverage but does look natural and dewey, but I set it with a powder. I apply this with a Real Techniques Buffin Brush which helps to make it smooth and streak free! The longest I have worn this foundation is about 5 or 6 hours (on a night out) and only touched up once with powder and it looked fine. It has a subtle floral fragrance with a little hint of that foundation smell, which personally doesn't bother me. This foundation only has 6 shades which is a bit of a let down. I have the shade 100 Ivory which I think might be the lightest shade. I really do like the packaging of this foundation. I think the glass bottle give it that little bit more class than some drugstore/high street foundations have and the bright orange lid and pump make it eye catching. I do like this foundation however, I don't like the glitter in it. I know the point of this foundation is for the glitter to give you that fresh/just got up feel, but it shows up far too much on my skin for my liking. I've read reviews from other bloggers saying that the glitter/shimmer doesn't show up on their skin, but it does on mine. Once I have set it with a powder it doesn't look that bad, so I now only use this as a daytime foundation. I would recommend this foundation to people, especially with dry skin. If you have oily skin like me, I do recommend using a powder. I think I would buy it again if the price was still £5.99, but I'm not in love with it to buy it at full price.

SNOW DAY *PICTURE HEAVY*

If you live in the UK, then some of you might have had some snow. Where I live in Wales, we don't normally get much snow compared to other places, but this time I think we had some of the most! I think this is the most snow I've ever seen haha. The novelty of it definitely wore off after the first day and I'm so fed up of being stuck in. The only good thing to come out of it was the photo opportunity, so I thought I would share with you guys some of the photos that I took in the snow. I refuse to go out in the snow because I have trouble walking normally without snow haha, so I only went out in my back garden and did a little photoshoot with my Mam for her website. Hope you all enjoy!

7 DEADLY SINS TAG

Greed

What is your least expensive beauty item?
My least expensive beauty item is my MUA lipsticks which are just £1! Total bargain.
What is your most expensive beauty item?
I think that would be my Urban Decay Naked palettes.

Wrath

What beauty products do you have a love/hate relationship with?
Blushers and bronzers most definitely! I really like to be as pale as I possibly can without looking silly, so I don't like to put any sort of colour apart from foundation on my face. I think they look really nice on people though!

Gluttony

What is your most delicious beauty product?
Delicious? Um, any sort of matte lipstick I guess.

Sloth

What beauty product do you neglect most, due to laziness?
It's not a beauty product but I do neglect it due to laziness, and that is taking my makeup off at night. I know its bad, but I always forget!

Pride

What beauty product gives you the most self confidence?
I think that would be eyeliner. No matter what I'm doing or where I'm going, I HAVE to wear eyeliner of some sort or I will not leave the house.

Lust

What attributes do you find most attractive in the opposite sex?
A sense of humour and tattoos.

Envy

What items would you most like to receive as a gift?
I think that would definitely be makeup everytime.

Things like Grow Luscious mascara, Super Lustrous lipsticks, Scented Nail Enamel and ColorBurst lipsticks all for £5! But what I was most excited about was the fact that the Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains and Matte Lipsticks are also available in this offer! BEST OF BEAUTY 2012 - LIPS

Collection Cream Puff Lip Cream: I have the shades Fairy Cake and Cotton Candy and I'm in love with them. Last year I realised that I didn't like the look of anything gloss on me so this was definitely what I was looking for. It has the moisture of a something glossy but looks quite matte on your lips. I have a review for Fairy Cake here.

Rimmel Kate Matte Lipstick: This is in the shade 107. I was scared of this colour in the beginning because it is so dark for what I'm used to. So I sheered it out with my finger and gradually got more confidence wearing it and started to wear it darker. This is an amazing colour and will be totally getting more. 2013 is definitely going to the year of mattes for me!

BEST OF BEAUTY 2012 - EYES

Urban Decay Eyeliner: This has been a staple in my makeup bag for like 2 years now but I think they have discontinued it or changed the packaging because I can't find it anywhere, hence why I haven't done a review. This is the only eyeliner that does smudge or transfer on to the top of my eyes because of my oily lids. If you know of any liquid liners that don't do this too, please let me know below!

Benefit They're Real Mascara: I have the weirdest eyelashes, some days they do as they're told others they don't. This mascara helps massively and it seems that I'm not the only person raving about this mascara. I also think that this is an amazing bottom lash mascara too!

Rimmel Eyebrow Pencil: I never used to be an eyebrow person, but since using this pencil I have realised how much is does help to fill them in to frame my face more. As I'm naturally blonde, I found it hard to find a colour to match my brows but this is the closest I could get.

There maybe some random posts in between but they are when I'm going to try and get posts up mainly. Thank you guys for all sticking with me while I've been trying to get my stuff together to try and get things as best as I possibly can for you guys to enjoy my blog!

BEST OF BEAUTY 2012 - FACE

This is a 3-part post of my stand out beauty products of 2012.

Clean & Clear Dual Action Moisturiser: This is my go to product for when I have a spot. I wash my face and then apply this at night. By morning it's either gone down in size, it's come to a head (gross I know, but that's life haha) or it's gone. I have a review for it here.

Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer: Even thought this shade is a slight too light for me (it's in shade 1) I did use this every time I had a blemish. Obviously Christmas has come and gone and I think I might have found something to replace this, so keep an eye out for that!

Revlon Colorstay Foundation for Combo/Oily Skin: This is, hands down my favourite foundation I have ever tried. Sadly I only have dregs left so I have to use it sparingly, but if you have oily/combo skin, I highly recommend it! I have a review of it here.

E.L.F HD Powder: I haven't photographed this with the other because I've used it all, but this is the only powder I have found that hasn't caked at all on my face. I really do miss this powder so I must buy some more soon! Review of the powder is here.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Credit: WeHeartIt

First off, HAPPY NEW YEAR GUYS! I hope you all had a good new year and didn't get too drunk haha. If you anything like me, you'll be glad to see the back of 2012. It's made me cry and it's made me laugh, but now it's time to move on. This is the first time in 2 years I have gone into a year with a good feeling about it. 2011 and 2012 were definitely not my years, so I really do hope 2013 will be. This is going to be a quick post as tonight I am going to be planning future blog posts and a schedule. Have a good weekend guys!
