CIATE MINI MANI MONTH #10 - #14

I've been busy this week so I haven't had time to upload swatches and first impressions of the nail polishes I had this week in my Ciate Advent Calender. So I thought I would just made one big post of what I had this week rather than do 5 and upload them the same day. WARNING - this is a picture heavy post!

Ladylike Luxe, £9 from Ciate.

I love love love this colour! It is so good for this season and makes me feel so Christmasy looking at it. It's a gold and silver shimmer which gives a foil effect to your nails. The swatch is with 2 coats. I think this paired with a red or a green would look nice for Christmas, possibly with some glitter too?

Bumble Bee Caviar Pearls

I haven't actually got round to swatching this yet but I'm so excited to. It has black and gold pearls which I picture wearing with a black dress or an LBD, making your nails an accessory. I couldn't find it online anywhere so maybe this is just exclusive to Mini Mani Month, how exciting!

Twilight, £9 from Ciate.

This is another polish that I have fallen in love with. I had seen this colour before and loved it, so when I opened door 12 to see this famous polish, I was so excited! This polish has a black base with gold glitter, not shimmer. The swatch is with 2 coats. It's like having a stary night on your finger nails.

Glass Slipper - Exclusive to Mini Mani Month.

If you have been following me for a while, you will know that there is some sort of glitter on my ring finger almost every time I paint them. Having a glitter polish in the calender has been accepted with open arms. This is a royal blue glitter polish, the swatch is with 3 coats. I think having a black base underneath this glitter polish would look nice!

Speed Dial, £9 from Ciate.

To me, this is not really a Wintery colour, but I think having this on your nails might make you feel a little warmer in these cold nights haha. The is a bright orange colour, which looks like it could be juicy.. is that weird? The swatch is with 2 coats. I think if you pair this with a black polish, it might make it a little more subtle and wearable!

Do you have any of these shades? How do you wear them? Let me know below!

CIATE MINI MANI MONTH #9

£9 from Ciate.
This advent calendar really does give a little excitement everyday. Today's polish is called Mistress and is a bright red with a hint of orange. I guess you can call this your typical bright red which you can pretty much wear no matter what season it is. I can tell why it is a best seller! Have you used this polish? Let me know below!

CIATE MINI MANI MONTH #8

£9 from Ciate.
Sorry this post went up late guys, for some strange reason I totally forgot to write it! For the past 2 days I haven't been totally impressed with the polishes but this one has made up for it. This polish is called Vintage and is a grey colour with a little hint of green. I'm glad that there are a lot of winter shades in this advent calendar because I didn't have very many to begin with! Have you tried this polish? Let me know below!

CIATE MINI MANI MONTH #7

£9 from Ciate.
Today's polish is called Cutie Pie. The only reason I seem to like this polish is because of the name. I've literally just finished reading a book called When Summer Ends and the main guy character calls his girlfriend Cutie, so that is the reason for me liking this polish haha. I totally recommend the book though! I feel the same way about this polish as I do about yesterday's polish so I'm not going to write too much about it because I would just be repeating myself. This colour is a very pale pink that would work nicely with a white tip manicure. The swatch above is with 3 coats. If you know of a way to make shades like this more likeable, please leave it down below!

CIATE MINI MANI MONTH #6

£9 from Ciate.
When the clock hits 12, I get excited knowing that it means I can open another do. I opened the number 6 door (obviously) and was kind of disappointed. This shade is called Angel Wings and if you love white tip manicures or light shimmery shades, then you will like this. This is perfect for maybe older women who like to paint their nails but don't want too much, if your not aloud to wear polish to school but want to, or if you like to have white tip manicures with a light shimmery colour underneath. Even though I'm not massively happy with this, I think my mam might like it so I'm sure I'll find a use for it. How do you use these types of colours? Let me know below!

REVLON COLORSTAY LIQUID EYE PEN

£6.99 from Superdrug.
I bought this a few months ago after my trusty Urban Decay Liquid Liner in Zero ran out. While using my Urban Decay liner, the tip of the brush of the liner started to spread so I started dipping in an older Rimmel liner pen that had gone dry into the pot and realised that I was able to do my winged liner a lot easier, so I bought this. Revlon's website says 'No-mess liquid eyeliner creates a precise line from soft to dramatic. Felt tip controlled application, Smudge-proof lasting color that wears up to 16 hours, Easier to apply than traditional liquid eyeliners.' I think that being messy with liquid liner is down to the person themselves. This is a very easy to control pen and the tip is hard but flexible so that you are able to create whatever effect with it. This liner is pigmented and you have to work quite fast with it if you want to smudge/blend it. Do you smudge liquid liner? I never have, but whatever floats your boat. My eyes are very watery and I find it hard to find a liner that lasts over 6 hours when I have winged my liner out. This I would say lasts about 6 and a half hours on my eyes. There is a bit of a smell to the liner, but nothing too over powering. The packaging is nice for what it is. It's sleek, durable and comfortable when holding it. I think for people who don't have watery eyes this would be good for you and would stay longer than what it does on my eyes, but personally I wouldn't buy this again. Have you tried this liner pen? How do you feel about it? Let me know below!

CIATE MINI MANI MONTH #5

£9.00 from Ciate.
When I opened the door, I thought that they had given me another Dangerous Affair polish and was gutted. I then took it out and realised that it was a blackberry colour. This shade is called Cabaret. Collection 60 Second polish in Twilight is very similar to this polish but is like 2 shades darker. I prefer this polish to the Collection one, but it's good enough if you don't want to splurge and would like a shade similar to this. I currently have this shade paired with Ciate Paint Pot in Halo and Barry M Nail Paint in Silver Glitter and I'm loving it! Have you tried this shade? Let me know below!

CIATE MINI MANI MONTH #4

Caviar Mini Bar - £20 from Ciate.
This advent calendar has gone from okay to amazing in just 4 days! I squealed when I opened up the door to a mini Ciate Caviar Pearls in Prom Queen. I have always wanted to try the Caviar Pearls and it was one of the reasons why I was so exited for this advent calender. There are pink, silver and a sort of indigo colour pearls with pink and silver hexagon shaped glitter in. I currently have it on over the top of Collections Hot Looks 60 Seconds polish in Twilight. I think I will be going to do a tutorial soon on how to do these Caviar nails, so keep a look out for that! Have you tried Ciate Caviar Pearls? What's your favourite shade? Let me know below!

CIATE MINI MANI MONTH #3

£9.00 from Ciate
When I opened the door to this polish, I was like why would they put in a cloudy looking polish? Who would want that? Then I moved a little and realised that it was a glitter polish and got excited. From my Nails Of The Week posts, you will see that I love glitter polishes and I put glitter topcoat over them 90% of the time. This polish is called Halo. If you could put snow into a nail polish, to me this would be the outcome. I know this will be well loved and welcomed into my nail polish family. Have you tried this polish? Let me know below!

CIATE MINI MANI MONTH #2

£9.00 from Ciate
I think I have found my new favourite polish! I have a feeling I'm going to be saying this a lot this month haha. This colour is called Dangerous Affair. This is what I would call an ox blood colour which is perfect for Autumn/Winter and right on trend at the moment. It has no shimmer and is not to shiny on the nails, which I like a lot. If you don't have a colour like this, I totally recommend you go get one! Have you tried this polish? Let me know below!

CIATE MINI MANI MONTH #1

£9.00 from Ciate

I couldn't wait until the morning to open my first door so I watched the clock until it hit 12 and ran to it. This polish is called Cupcake Queen. I don't really think this is a winter shade but it would be a perfect transitioning colour from spring to summer! I like the finish to this polish. It's not too shiny and not matte, sort of a satin finish I would say. It has a blueish iridescent in certain lights. Have you tried this polish? Let me know below!
