MAKEUP MASH UP #1 - SPOT TREATMENTS

Spot Treatments
Clean and Clear Dual Action Moisturiser - This is my holy-grail-go-to-quick-fix-spot-solution! Try saying that all at once haha. I had to depot this into a tin because I am on the dregs of it and I thought what's the point in keeping it in a pretty big tube, making my makeup bag overflow, when I can keep it in something small? When a spot occurs, or even a small red mark, my first thought is to put some of these on because I know that it will help with the redness and (sorry to be so minging) bring the head of the spot out within a few hours. I couldn't bare to take this out of my makeup bag as I know it does wonders. I think I might do a review on this soon! On the Clean and Clear website, it says that this is part of a 3-step routine which I am pretty interested in buying as it does have very good reviews! You can find out about the Clean and Clear routines here.

Neutrogena Visibly Clear Rapid Clear Treatment with DermaNaturals - After photographing this section, I realised that I didn't want to use this as it was already open and I don't know how long for. I played around with it on my hand to see what the consistancy was like and if I could still use it, but it was all sticky and looks like goo, so I chucked it in the bin haha.

Witch Naturally Clear Blemish Stick - I have been using this on and off for a few months now and I still haven't decided if it actually does anything to my blemishes. I think it does help with the redness though. It says that it is for all skin types but especially for oily/combination skin, which is me!

What is your go-to spot treatment? Let me know below!

CHLOE REVIEWS: CLEAN AND CLEAR DUAL ACTION MOISTURISER

£2.99 from Boots
I have been using this for well over a year now and if I'm honest, this is a life saver and hands down a holy grail product for me. The Clean and Clear website says that this moisturiser 'leaves your skin feeling soft as well as helping to prevent spots and blemishes.' I totally agree with that statement. I used to use this as my everyday moisturiser all over my face, as it is suitable for oily skin and that's pretty much what it is ment to be used for. I now rush to it when I have a spot/blemish on my face, sometimes even a red mark! It's better to be safe than sorry haha. I apply it when I put my makeup on and then when I take my makeup off at night. It doesn't have a scent to it really, just your typical cream smell I guess. The packaging is okay, I would like it to have a pump though, but it doesn't really bother me all that much. I would totally recommend this to every man and his dog. I have made my mam and my cousin use it when they have a spot, and as much as they moaned that it stung the spot (that's what happens when you put it on an open blemish. If it hurts, it works I say), it worked for them too! I have repurchased this at least twice and I will continue to until I find something better (if I ever do!). Let me know below what helps with your spots!

MAKEUP MASH UP #1 - SKINCARE

Hey guys!
So for a while now I've been using the same products everyday and recently I've been wanting to change it up a bit. I decided to do it and to write a blog post about it so here it is! I'm going to break it up into categories so that it isn't one huge post that might bore some of you haha! I have taken these photos with my iPhone, so don't hate me haha. They are also on Instagram, please feel free to follow me! My name is heyarnoldx

Nivea Creme - Me and my skin are still trying to get to know each other (sounds like a relationship, huh?). I used to think that just because I have combination to oily skin I couldn't use moisturiser. I obviously know that that isn't true now so I have been using this as my current moisturiser because I haven't bought anything else yet. If you know of a good moisturiser for combination to oily skin, please let me know below.

The Body Shop Vitamin E Moisture Cream - Having a bit quite a bit of makeup and storing it on the other side of your room makes you forget what you have. While looking through my makeup, I came across this which I forgot I had. It's only a sample size but it's enough for me to decide if I like it or not. It says it's for all skin types and 'helps to promote healthy looking skin' which I hope it does. I will do a review once I have used it enough to keep you all posted on it.

Clinique All About Eyes Serum - I have had this lurking in my draws for a while now. I always thought that it had something to do with anti-aging which is why I haven't tried before. I'm quite a nocturnal girl, meaning that I stay awake all night and sleep most of the day, so I do get pretty puffy eyes and I sometimes get dark circles (FYI, they are quite bad right now). After doing some research on this product, the Clinique website says that it helps with puffy eyes and dark circles, so this is right up my street! This is also just a sample which I have no idea where it came from.

Thank you for reading guys! Let me know if you have any recommendations for oily skin below.

CHLOE REVIEWS: LANCOME HYPNOSE DOLL EYES MASCARA!

£21 from Debenhams(*)
This is my first Lancome product. Well technically I own 3 as it came in a boxset, but this is the only one what I use. The Lancome website says that this mascara 'coats every single eyelash without weighing them down'. I sort of agree with this. I find that it is easy to get spider leg lashes with this mascara. You have to be very careful and kind of learn to work with this product. Once you do that you will probably love it like I do. I'm not bless with incredibly long eyelashes, but this does both volumise and lengthen my lashes. In the beginning, I felt like this mascara was too wet for me, so I did wait a few months before I started using it properly so that it could dry out a little. When it comes to my lashes, the only thing that I really, really dislike about them is that they don't hold a curl for very long. Using this mascara does help keep the curl in for a few hours longer than most. This does have a scent, some of you will either hate that or love it. The scent is of roses and it is pretty strong. So strong that sometimes I can even smell it when the mascara has dried on my lashes. Now I have pretty sensitive eyes, and this scent doesn't irritate them at all. The packaging is what you expect with the highend price tag. It's sturdy, pretty and I really like the flowers on the tube itself. As I said in this post earlier, I don't have amazing eyelashes but this mascara really does do wonders for them. They make them look longer and volumised once you find how to make it work for you. I would recommend it to people and I would spend my money on it.

Hope you have enjoyed this review. It feels like forever since I have done one! Have you tried this mascara? Let me know below!

MONDAY 3RD SEPTEMBER

Hey guys!
It's currently 3.30AM and I can't sleep (FYI, I have really bad insomnia) so instead of watching Charmed on Netflix, which I am totally obsessing over at the moment, I thought that I would do something constructive and take some photographs so I can write some reviews. I have no idea why, but this really excites me right now haha. I have finished off some products recently and I realised that I didn't do any reviews for them, so my plan for the week is to write these up and post them for you guys. Woop, woop!

Another reason why I am writing this post is to be honest with you all. The last thing I want is to lie to you guys! This past week I've have sat down and thought to myself 'do I honestly want to carry on with my blog? Is it worth putting in all the time and effort into it? What if I fail or don't get very far with it? What if I don't have many followers? What if people judge me? What if people I know in real life find my blog? What if people laugh at my grammar?'. Most of the time I came out with something negative. I felt so bad telling you guys 'I'm back' and then not post again for another week. So I decided that I wasn't going to blog anymore. The next day, I found myself being quite sad watching beauty videos on YouTube thinking 'Who am I going to tell about the new beauty things I find? or a new idea I have for a photo shoot?'. After weighing up the pros and cons, hits and shit or whatever you want to call it, I decided I really want to run a beauty blog. Who cares if I 'fail'? Who cares if I only have 1 follower? At least 1 person is reading all my jibber jabber and liking it! Surely that means I'm getting somewhere right? I also found some positivity for my blog in this video by Louise from Sprinkle Of Glitter and Sammi from Beauty Crush. Even though the video is a tag about YouTube, it helped me to really decide whether to quit blogging or not. It inspired me to not care about others think or getting judged too quickly. You are never going to please every single person in world, and that's not being negative, it's being realistic. These 2 woman (I felt silly calling them girls cause they are older than me haha) along with some others, helped me to show my face on camera and upload a video into the YouTubing world. I know that right now I don't do YouTube videos, I don't very much confidence in myself/body to do it, but I will someday/ I just need to do it at the right time and not force myself or feel that I have to. They both put a smile on my face when watching their videos, even when the sky is grey!

Anyway, it's now 4.29 and this is a pretty long post and if you have actually read this, then I think you should go and grab yourself a cup of tea as a reward. Or even an alcoholic beverage! Go on, you deserve it! If your old enough that is! ;-) Thank you so much you guys for bearing with me and inspiring me! You are amazing! If you haven't subscribed to Louise and Sammi, do it now! Once again, thank you :-)
